KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has appointed Habibullah Ahmadzai as his special security advisor and Khalil Zmar as advisor on detainee and prisoner affairs.
The Presidential Palace said that based on his constitutional authority, Ahmadzai made the appointments through a decree.
Recently, Mohammad Hanif Atmar was appointed as national security advisor, Omar Zakhilwal as advisor on finance, Abdul Salam Rahim as administrative affairs head and Abdul Ali Mohammadi as advisor on legal affairs.
Recently, 20 senior government officials were removed from the Office of Administrative Affairs and the Cabinet Secretariat. Their replacements have also been appointed.
Nazifullah Salarzai, currently spokesman for the UN Assistance Mission for Afghanistan (UNAMA), is tipped as presidential spokesperson.
