3 of a family dead in Tirinkot blast

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Three members of a family were killed in a bomb explosion in Tirinkot, the capital of central Uruzgan province, on Sunday afternoon.

The bomb went off inside a house in Sar Chughlo village on the outskirts of Tirinkot, police official Amir Gul Agha told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the dead included two women and a girl. The incident was currently under investigation, said the official, who gave no further details.

Meanwhile, Tirinkot Civil Hospital Director Dr. Nadir Khan confirmed receiving from the site a wounded girl, who later succumbed to her injuries.

Resident Safdar said the family’s men were associated with the scrap business. “While sitting in my shop, I heard the blast and rushed to the house. I saw the dead and injured.
