ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Three development projects completed in Kang district of southwestern Nimroz province on Thursday but residents demanded asphalting of roads and construction of bridges.

Officials said that the completed schemes included five kilometres road, construction of 370 metres of school wall, and graduation of 30 women from training course in carpet sewing.

Eng. Farid Ahmad Azami, acting director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (RRD) department, said the public welfare projects have been completed at a cost of 7 million afghanis.

Acting Governor Amir Mohammad Akhunzada said the government and NGOs did not allocate funds for the construction of roads and bridges in the district.
