JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Work on two development projects has been launched in the Qarghayi district of eastern Laghman province, an official said on Thursday.
Funded by the Agriculture Ministry, the projects costing 35 million afghanis included the asphalting of a road between Tarang and Lamti villages, the governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Sarhadi Zwak added the second project a 270-meter retaining wall was being built in the Dah Mazang locality of the same district.
The retaining wall would help protect 625 acres of agriculture land and 750 houses from flood threats, he said.
