CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Four mobile phones selling shops were looted overnight in Charikar, the capital city of central Parwan province, shopkeepers said on Thursday.
They claimed unidentified burglars broke in the shops and took away cell phones, cash and equipment worth one million afghanis.
One of the shop owners, Haji Mohammad Nasim, said he and three other shopkeepers lost nearly one million afs in total. He urged the government to boost security in Charikar.
Lutfu Rehman Rashad, deputy police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News two suspects had been arrested in connection with the robbery. The pair, he said was being interrogated.
He said police were trying their best to maintain security in the city.
