KABUL/TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Four members of a family were killed and another wounded in a roadside bombing in Qarabagh district of the capital Kabul, while 12 people were injured in a traffic accident in northeastern Takhar province, officials said Wednesday.
Kabul police spokesman Hashmatullah Stanikzai told Pajhwok Afghan News that a car carrying four members of family hit a roadside bomb in Qarabagh district last night.
Two women and two men, including driver of the car died on the spot, he said, adding while another wounded man was evacuated to Ghorban Hospital for treatment, he said.
A day earlier, a civilian was killed and another wounded in a magnetic bomb attack in the 9th police district in the capital Kabul.
Separately, 12 persons were wounded when two buses collided head-on in Karani locality of Farkhar district in Takhar province.
Provincial police spokesman Maj. Abdul Khalili Aseer said seven women and five men were among the victims. He linked the accident to reckless driving and bumpy roads’ condition.
