FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): The dead bodies of four women, who had gone missing three days back, were found in the capital of western Farah province on Friday, an official said.
Jawad Afghan, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that one of victims hailed from Shin Dhand district while the other three were the residents of Bala Baluk.
Found early in the morning in Farah City, the bodies were taken to hospital before being handed over to families, he added.
Seven children, who had also disappeared along with the women, were found and handed over to their families. Afghan said an investigation was ongoing but nobody had been arrested so far.
Women’s Affairs Director Lailuma Siddiqui, meanwhile, confirmed the incident and said husbands of the dead women were drug addicts. She gave no further details.
