KABUL (Pajhwok): Four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and seven militants have been killed in operations in southern provinces of the country during the last two days, the military said on Friday.
A statement from the 205th Atal Corps in southern Kandahar province, said that insurgents had suffered heavy casualties in fighting in Mianishin, Shah Wali Kot and Spin Boldak districts.
Four ANA soldiers were killed and as many wounded in clashes with militants in the Shahr-i-Safa district of Zabul province and Ghorak, Zherai and Khakrez districts of Kandahar.
In Helmand, the 215th Maiwand Corps, said that seven insurgents were killed and 12 others injured in an operation in Nawzad district. A huge amount of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the operation.
