5 killed in Kandahar roadside bombing
KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Four intelligence officials and a civilian were killed after a roadside bomb ripped the vehicle they were travelling in late on Friday in southern Kandahar province, an official said.
The blast took place in the Ibrahim Khalifa Baba area of Dand district at about 5:30pm, the governor’s spokesman said.
Samim Khpalwak said the National Directorate of Security (NDS) officials had gone to the area on excursion. A fifth NDS official was injured in the blast.
The intelligence officials had arrived in the area from Shahr-i-Safa district of southern Zabul province.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility the blast.
