MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): An Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) official was killed in a bomb explosion in central Maidan Wardak province on Sunday morning.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governors’ spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the explosion took place in front of the ANDMA office in the provincial capital, Maidan Shahar.
Haji Mohammad Daud, the ANDMA administration manager, was initially wounded in the explosion. Later he succumbed to his injuries at hospital, the spokesman added.
The ANDMA official was the apparent target, as the blast caused no other casualties, Khogiani noted. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack.
