Bomb-making centre discovered in Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): Intelligence operatives have discovered in Kabul a huge centre manufacturing suicide vests, magnetic bombs and other explosive devices, the National Directorate of Security claimed on Friday.
During three days of operations in the central capital, the intelligence agents found the Haqqani network’s centre in the 8th police district, a statement from the spy service said. The centre was led by Sher Khan Mangal.
Mangal is said to be the uncle of Siffatullah, who had been an intelligence officer during the Taliban regime. The centre operated as a real estate office, according to NDS, which claimed arresting a number of Haqqani and Taliban fighters and seizing weapons over the past three days.
