KABUL (Pajhwok): One civilian was killed and three others wounded when a car suicide attacker targeted a convoy of foreign forces in the capital Kabul along a major highway on Monday, an official said.
Deputy interior minister Gen. Ayub Salangi said the attacker detonated his explosives-laden car close to an ISAF convoy on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway.
The early morning powerful blast took place in the jurisdiction of the 9th police district at around 6.47am.
A resident Zarghona said window glasses of her house were shaken by the impact of the huge blast.
ISAF media office confirmed the attack, saying there were no casualties among international troops.
On Sept. 16, a suicide bomber struck an ISAF convoy, killing two Americans and one Polish soldier, and wounding a dozen civilians.
A series of suicide attacks rocked Kabul City during the inauguration of the new president Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai.
