JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least four people were killed in a car accident on the Jalalabad-Torkham Highway near the Rodat district of eastern Nangarhar province on Wednesday, an official said.
Ahmad Zia Abdul Zai, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place in the Surkh Diwal area of the district, where a Corolla car crashed into a truck.
He said that four passengers, including a woman, were killed. The Corolla car caught fire after the crash, he added. A week ago, dozens of passengers suffered casualties in a road accident on Kabul-Kandahar Highway.
