KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Officials said on Tuesday that 52 bags of explosives that were being smuggled from neighbouring Pakistan had been seized in southern Kandahar province.
The explosives transported in a tractor were recovered in Riga area of Dand district by police, Samim Khpalwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said no one had been arrested in connection of the smuggling but an investigation was underway. In the past too, police have seized explosives smuggled from Pakistan to Kandahar province.
