KABUL (Pajhwok): Intelligence personnel have discovered a fake licence printing centre for weapons transfer and held its owner, the spy service said on Tuesday.

Separately, police detained 14 people in connection with criminal activities, a statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said.

One the detainees, Aimal, was identified as the main character in publication of bogus licences for weapons transfers in the name the Ministry of Interior.     

Aimal was held from a hideout in the forth municipality district of Kabul while printing five fake licences.

Counterfeit ID cards, printing press machines, a scanner, a computer and 95 fake licences were recovered during an NDS raid. The price of a one licence is said to be $600.

Police captured 14 people from different parts of capital on charges of murder, drugs and weapons smuggling and robbery.
