Finland provides $3 million for literacy courses
KABUL (Pajhwok): Finland would provide $3 million assistance for the literacy sector to help educate 50,000 people, an official said on Sunday.
Acting Minister of Education Mohammad Shafiq Samim and Ambassador of Finland Ari Maki signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to the effect.
Ministry official Abdul Saboor Ghufrani told Pajhwok Afghan News around 50,000 people would be imparted literacy training in two years with Finland’s assistance.
Maki promised his country would continue assisting Afghanistan in education and other sectors of the economy.
