KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The construction work on buildings for custom and border police headquarters has been completed in the Ghulam Khan Port in southeastern Khost province, an official said on Monday.
The sprawling buildings have been constructed on 17.5 acres of land within two years at a cost of 390 million afghanis, Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi told Pajhwok Afghan News during the inauguration ceremony. Engineering corps of US army funded the ambitious projects, he added.
Border Police Commander Mohammad Shafiq Fazli said the construction of police headquarters was a great achievement. He said the existence of better infrastructure would help improve police performance.
In addition, he said economic activities would multiply with more job opportunities after the construction of custom building.
