Hajj director injured in Uruzgan explosion
TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): The hajj and religious affairs director of central Uruzgan province and two others, including his son, were wounded in a blast on Thursday, an official said.
The explosion took place at 8:00 am in front of Director Maulvi Hamdullah’s residence, Dost Mohammad Nayel, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Soon after the bombing, the injured were rushed to hospital, They are said to be in stable conditions. Hospital sources said the director and his son were recovering.
Earlier in the week, the hajj and religious affairs director for southern Ghazni province was gunned down by unidentified gunmen.
