MAHMODRAQI (PAJHWOK): After pulling out of foreign forces from central Kapisa province, the security of this central province has been considerably improved following offensive by Afghan security forces in several districts, an official said Monday.

Ibadullah Talwar, deputy police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the country’s security forces had assumed security responsibilities from foreign forces and now all measures were being adopted to improve law and order.

“A number of leading Taliban commanders have been killed in recent security operations, which helped improve law and order in the province,” he remarked.

He said marked improvement in security there led to better security in the neighboring province, including the capital Kabul.

Lal Pacha, a resident of Nijrab district, the clearing operations by security forces had bolstered law and order.
