At least 2 rockets fired into Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): At least two rockets were fired into a high-security neighbourhood of Kabul on Sunday night, but information about casualties was not immediately available.
Residents heard three loud bangs around the Wazir Akbar Khan diplomatic enclave in the limits of the 10th police district of the capital at 9.00pm.
But Kabul police spokesman Hashmatullah Stanikzai confirmed to Pajhwok Afghan New two blasts, which had probably resulted from a rocket strike.
He had no idea where the rockets had landed, but another security official said one fell in Shashdarak area, a second near Aryana Hotel and a third close to an Afghan army base.
The strike came after a similar incident in the same sensitive locality on Friday night when a rocket hit a tree in a busy street.
