MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A newly-established mineral water factory, a $1.5 million project, started functioning in central Kapisa province on Saturday.

During the inaugural ceremony, Governor Gen. Mehrabuddin Sapi said the plant had been established by the Rezaee Private Company, It will produce 54,000 bottles of mineral water daily.

Deputy Chairman of Senate Alam Ezedyar, members of the lower house and provincial council, tribal elders and officials were present on the occasion.

Wakil Gul Ahmad Sapi, the owner of the factory, said the investment had come from his personal account and he did not seek help form others. He intends to build a grape and pomegranate juice factory in Kapisa.

He hoped the establishment of such factories would promote orchards and result in generation of employment opportunities in the province.
