LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): The Naad Ali district chief was killed along with his two bodyguards and six others were wounded in a militant attack in southern Helmand province, an official said Wednesday.
Omar Zwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place last night when the district chief Mohammad Anwar Khan was patrolling the Mirza Square area.
He said the district chief and one of his bodyguards were killed and six other security wounded in the incident.
However, Nad Ali social council member Ghayasuddin said there were only three bodyguards with Anwar Khan when he came under attack.
He said the district chief and two of his bodyguards were killed.
