SHARAN (Pajhwok): The residents of southeastern Paktika province urged the new president to help bolster peace and stability, overcome the menace of corruption and adopt measures to develop the vital education.
Zalmai Kharotai, a student of law faculty, told Pajhwok Afghan News the next president should focus to establish durable peace and treat all provinces equally in sharing of development schemes.
Abdul Ghani, a resident of Katawaz locality, said law and order would remain a challenging task for the upcoming president. The next head of the state should adopt measures to stabilize security on highways and establish peace throughout the country.
He claimed several incidents of terror had taken place on the vital road leading to Khushamad district, with rebels had been attacking security forces and civilians.
Mohammad Alim, another resident of Sharan City, the provincial capital, said the next president should pay attention to bolster economic condition of masses by developing the vital agriculture sector in the province.
He said majority of Paktika people were associated with agriculture sector and the construction of dames and culverts were of immense importance for economic development.
