Paghman rape case: Fugitive detained
KABUL (Pajhwok): A fugitive in the Paghman rape incident has been arrested by intelligence agents, the spy service announced on Friday.
In late August, a group of armed men raped four women and looted passengers in the Paghman district of Kabul, an incident that touched off a wave of condemnation and protests.
The gangsters in police uniform deprived passengers of their valuables and sexually abused four women. The seven gangsters have already been convicted and sentenced to death.
Previously, the Attorney General Office (AGO) had said that 10 people were involved in the rape case and seven of them had been arrested so far.
A statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said the man was arrested along with accomplice in Kabul. However, the agency gave nio further details.
