KABUL (Pajhwok): Police on Monday claimed arresting at least 113 individuals including two Pakistani nationals on different charges in capital Kabul.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Rahman Rahimi, Kabul police chief, told journalists the persons have been detained in 66 criminal incidents that took place over the past two weeks in and around the capital city.
Two individuals, he said have been detained on charges of murder, eight on theft, and two Pakistani nationals on fraud charges, he added.
He went on to say that another 140 had been nabbed on charges of harassment especially women on streets but they were released.
In addition, he said that police had recovered huge arms and ammunition including 57 Kalashnikovs, 57 pistols and 11 other brands of guns from different parts of Kabul. During the course of security check, police seized 51 kilogram of hashish, one kg opium and alcohol.
