FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): A roadside bomb on the outskirts of Farah City, the capital of western Farah province, left four civilians and two policemen wounded on Friday, an official said.

Jawad Afghan, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan news the incident happened at 10: 30 am. “The bomb planted under a culvert went off when a police vehicle was passing by.”

Eyewitness Ali Ahmad said: “I was entering my house when all of a sudden I heard a powerful explosion. I came out and saw three civilians and policemen wounded.” The blast smashed windowpanes of nearby houses.
