Protesters block Kabul-Kandahar highway

KABUL (Pajhwok): A number of residents of Paghman district in capital Kabul on Sunday staged protest and blocked Kabul-Kandahar highway following the killing of a man the other day.

Around 250 enraged protesters carried the dead body of the slain individual who was shot dead following a land dispute. The demonstrators demanded the arrest of the killers.

“The road will be blocked for traffic until the government arrests the killer of Eng. Sayyed Mohammad,” said Ziauddin, relative of the slain man.

He said district officials did not take any action to arrest the killers.
