A rebel commander killed in Alingar
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A rebel's commander was killed and three others wounded during a clash with security forces in the Alingar district of eastern Laghman province, an official said on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Qalagi locality of the province when militants mounted an attack on a civilian house, governor’s spokesman Sarhadi Zwak told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The owner of the house Saadullah along with three women were wounded during the gun battle, he added. The spokesman said that the rebel commander was later killed in an exchange of fire with security forces.
