Rebel-fired rocket kills 2 children in Kunar

ASADABAD (Pajhwok): At least two children were killed and seven others people, including women, wounded when a rocket fired by militants hit their house in the Chapa Dara district of eastern Kunar province, an official said Thursday.

Police Chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Sayedkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred Wednesday night in the Tarnik locality.

He said the injured were instantly shifted to a local hospital for treatment, however, he had no more information.

Taliban have not commented on the incident.
