Rebels detained, weapons seized in Baghlan
KABUL/PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): A group of five militants was busted and weapons including suicide vests seized in northern Baghlan province, the spy service said on Sunday.
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement the rebels were detained in special operations in Dushi and Nahrain districts of Baghlan.
It added the detainees were involved in bombings and attacks on security check-posts. Three suicide vests, 20 mortar and rocket round, 40 landmines, two BMI, one rocket, four assault rifles, four pistols and one car were seized from them.
Doshi district’s administrative chief Shamsuddin Sarhadi said the NDS personnel had seized some ammunition in the Kilagai area of the district and detained some people.
