KABUL was ready to extend “all possible relief assistance to the victims of natural disaster.”
A statement from the prime minister’s house said that the message was conveyed to the Afghan Ambassador Janan Mosazai by the Foreign Secretary during the meeting.
“We have learnt with deep anguish and sorrow about the avalanches in Panjsher province resulting in the loss of precious lives, damage to property and destruction of hundred of houses,” he said.
The prime minister in his condolence message stated: “On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, and on my own behalf, I offer our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families and the fraternal people of Afghanistan. We are also ready to extend all possible relief assistance for the victims of this natural disaster-hit area.”
