KABUL) on Wednesday claimed thwarting a terrorist bid in Kabul by detaining two suspects.

A statement from the spy service said the alleged terrorists planned to stage attacks in Kabul. Hijratullah and Saiful Islam are residents of the Shamshatu refugee camp in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

An explosives-rigged motorbike was recovered from them in the 17th police district, said the statement. “The detainees have confessed to being trained on making roadside mines and suicide vests by Maulvi commander.”

The statement said the pair was planning to carry out attacks on security personnel in the Pul-i-Charkhi area in 9th police district of Kabul.
