Talking to reports in Kabul, Masood said: “Thanks to almighty Allah, we got positive messages with regard to peace process from various sources. I hope durable peace will be established soon throughout the country.”
Earlier in the day, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani during a news conference with the visiting US defence secretary, said: “Ground has been paved for result-oriented peace talks, which are in the interests of Afghans.”
