KABUL was being exaggerated but warned the menace should not be overlooked.

Earlier reports cited militants’ activities Islamic States (Daesh) in Helmand, Farah, Zabul, Ghazni, Faryab, Sar-i-Pul and Logar provinces.

However, security forces rejected reports of presence of the group in Afghanistan, but acknowledged that some militants had changed their flags to that of Daesh.

Abdullah expressed concerns about the existence of the group. “Sometimes the existence and threat of Daesh is being exaggerated, but sometimes the threat is being ignored.”

He said in today’s cabinet meeting, with security organs would provide their report on overall law and order in the country. A comprehensive discussion would also take place on the threats posed by the group.

“We want the ministers and masses to be aware of what we are facing in the country,” the CEO concluded.
