US missile strike kills 6 militants in Nuristan

ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Six militants were killed in a US drone strike in eastern Nuristan province on Sunday, officials of Afghan National Army (ANA) said.

Maj. Shereen Agha, commander of 201 Sailab Corps of ANA, told Pajhwok Afghan News the missile strike took place in the afternoon in Chinar Khorr locality of Kamdish district.

He confirmed six insurgents were killed in the attack but there were no civilians or property loss. Cleanup operation by the ANA was also underway in the area, he added.

However, Taliban did not comment on the drone strike in the area till filing of this report.
