KABUL on Tuesday said the United States continued to press for military solution to the conflict.
The US launched the Operating Enduring Freedom 13 years ago to remove the Taliban from power after the hard-line regime refused to extradite Osama Bin Laden following the 9/11 attacks.
As the Afghan war turned 13 years old on Tuesday (Oct 7), the Taliban issued a statement that said the US still insisted on illegal presence of its military in Afghanistan.
They accused Washington of trying to resolve the conflict in Afghanistan through use of force.
“We are also ready to fight until all (American) troops are expelled from the country,” the statement said.
The Taliban said Afghanistan was home of Afghans and all decisions here were related to them.
They concluded the Americans with their attack in 2001 toppled a legitimate government and started killing innocent Afghans.
