KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): Security officials in northern Kunduz province claimed arresting a would-be suicide bomber who was planning to attack the Kabul Bank branch in the province, provincial police chief said.

Brig. Gen. Abdul Saboor Nasrati told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mohammad Nasir 18 was gone to Pakistan. In Pakistan, Nasir was given training in suicide attack instead.

The detained bomber, he said belonged to Imam Sahib district and was tasked to blow up Kabul Bank branch in Kunduz.

The man, he said was being interrogated to divulge more information. “My parent sent me to get religious education in Pakistan but there I was given training in suicide bombing,” Nasir recalled.
