4 of 6 senior officials kidnapped in Herat released
HEART (PAJHWOK): Security officials on Thursday said that four officials who were kidnapped had been released in western Herat province.
“Unidentified gunmen abducted six government employees from Pashtoon Zarghoon district on Wednesday. Two of them were still in captivity,” police spokesman Abdul Rauf Ahmadi said.
Police were working out strategy to ensure safe release of the remaining two, he said, adding that three suspects had also been held in connection of the kidnapping.
