An angry mob beat Farkhanda to death on March 18 before setting her body on fire. She was accused of burning a copy of the holy Quran and Religious Affairs.
The President Palace said in a statement Ghani had constituted the commission to investigate the case in light of Sharia teachings and human rights principles and submit a report to him.
Maulvi Mohiuddin Baloch heads the panel, which includes Maulvi Mohammad Umar Farooqi, Syed Mohammad Hussain Mohaqiqzada, Fauzia Kofi, Shinkai Karokhel, Shahla Farid, Mehbooba Siraj, Najibullah Azizi, Shamsullah Ahmedzai, Khpalwak Safi and Mujibur Rahman Khilwatgar.
The Interior Minister has been directed to ensure security forces prevented such acts in the future. All departments concerned were asked to cooperate with the commission in probing the incident.
