GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Four passengers have been killed by Taliban militants in the Aab Band district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Tuesday.
Acting Governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the passengers traveling in a car from Ghazni City to the district were stopped and shot dead late on Monday.
A son of Hakimullah, a member of High Peace Council, was also among the dead. A resident of Tawda China area confirmed the deaths, saying a group of masked gunmen stopped and shot them to death without asking questions.
The district is located on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, 75 kilometers from Ghazni City. Most parts of the district are under Taliban’s control.
