KABUL Cup Qualifiers ended in a goalless draw in Tehran on Friday.

Ahead of mega event that Brazil will host in 2016, U-23 squads from Afghanistan, Iran, Nepal, Palestine and Saudi Arabia are taking part in the qualification tournament in Tehran.

In today’s match, the Afghanistan Football Federation said, neither side could score a goal despite some good moves from both rivals.

In the previous outings, Afghans outplayed Nepal but lost to Palestine. Placed in third spot. the Afghans are scheduled to take on Iran on Sunday,

Despite their handicaps, Afghanistan managed to clinch a silver medal in 2010 South Asian Games.
