1 policeman dead, 6 wounded in Helmand suicide attack

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok):  At least one policeman was killed and six others were wounded when a suicide bomber smashed his explosive-laden car  into a police check post in the Grishak district of soutehrn Helmand province on Friday, a senior police official said.

Col. Bacha Gul Bakhtyar told Pajhwok Afghan News the attacker rammed his car into the police post in the Hyderabad locality of the distrcit, which caused casualties among policemen.

Amir Muhammad, an eyewitness, told the suicide bomber plouged his car into the police post but he had no details into casualties.

But Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi claimed killing 14 policemen and injuring seven others in the attack.
