Clashes, drone strike kill 10 rebels in Ghazni
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Ten insurgents were killed and eight others wounded during separate clashes and an airstrike in southern Ghazni province on Saturday, an official said.
Six Taliban fighters, included a dreaded commander, were killed and four others wounded in a NATO drone attack in Razbig locality of Andar district early Saturday, Nazifullah Sultani, a spokesman for 203rd Thunder Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the unmanned plane targeted and destroyed a vehicle and four motorcycles carrying insurgents in the area.
Separately, Sultani said, two militants were killed and as many wounded during a clash in with security forces in Daganan locality of Qarabagh district.
In Giru district, he said, two Pakistani insurgents were killed and another two as result of a firefight with security forces.
The Taliban have not yet commented about these incidents, but they claimed killing six Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers in a roadside bombing in Muqar district.
