ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Three militants, including a commander, were killed in a drone strike in eastern Kunar province on Sunday, an official said.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Sayedkhel, provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the attack took place in Shorik area of Manugi district in the morning.
Taliban commander Saramuddin and his two associates were killed in the unmanned aircraft attack, he added.
However, civilians suffered no casualties in the incident, he said. Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
