Construction work on vital Paktia bridge launched
GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Construction work on a vital bridge is launched in the Ahmadaba district of southeastern Paktia province, director rural rehabilitation department has said on Wednesday.
Funded by the World Bank (WB), the long-awaited work on the bridge in Sayedkhel locality of the district would cost 12 million afghanis, which would be completed in ten months, Eng. Nazeer Gul Mangal said.
The completion of the project, Mangal said would considerably reduce problems of people who were faced with difficulties to cross over to the district or provincial capital during floods.
Sayed Muhammad, a resident of Sayedkhel village, said the bridge would make people’s access to the district centre by crossing over the large watercourse.
