Provincial deputy attorney general dead in blast
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The provincial deputy attorney general and his driver were killed and four others wounded in two separate blasts in eastern Nangrahar province on Wednesday, an official said.
Mohammad Sadiq Daulatzai, Behsud district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the two incidents took place in Behsud and Kama districts.
Sadiq said that Provincial Deputy Attorney General Haider Khan was heading to his Jalalabad City, the provincial capital, from his home.
He suffered injuries along with two others in a mine blast today’s morning. However, Khan succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
Separately, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, the governor’s spokesman, said Khan Wali, the logistic head for Bati Kot district, and another civilian, injured in a mine blast in Kama district.
However, militants have not yet commented on the incidents.
