Pak, Afghan military officials for enhanced coordination
KABUL (Pajhwok): An Afghan National Army delegation visited Corps Headquarter Peshawar and then to North Waziristan, a tribal area on border of Afghanistan, on Wednesday, Pakistani newspaper the daily The News reported.
A press release stated that Corps Commander Maj. Mohammad Zaman Waziri called on Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant Genaral Hidayatur Rahman.
“The discussion in the meeting focused on further enhancing the existing border coordination mechanisms,” the press release stated.
Corps Commander Maj. Mohammad Zaman Waziri laid floral wreath at the Yadgar-i-Shuhada at the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar.
The Afghan Army delegation, later, visited Miran Shah, main city in North Waziristan where Pakistan Army briefed Afghan delegation about the on-going Zarb-e-Azab military operation in the area.
Afghan Army delegation acknowledged resolve and efforts of Pakistan Army against terrorism.
