Pillion riding, tinted car glasses banned in Kandahar

Pillion riding, tinted car glasses banned in Kandahar

Apr 30, 2015 - 18:46

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Police on Thursday announced banning pillion riding and tinted car glasses in southern Kandahar province.

Deputy provincial police chief Maj. Gen Rahmatullah Atrafi told in a press conference in Kandahar City that terrorists targeted government officials and other target using motorbikes. That was why police banned pillion riding in the city, he said, hoping the ban would help to avoid such accidents.

Atrafi also briefed journalists on progress police had achieved against militants and casualties suffered by insurgents during the outgoing week.
