Kandahar blast leaves 1 dead, 3 wounded
KANADAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): A shopkeeper was killed and three others wounded on Tuesday in a powerful explosion in Kandahar City, the capital of southern Kandahar province, an official said.
Samim Khpalwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place close to 14th police district.
The bomb went-off when policemen were investigating the killing of a shopkeeper by unidentified gunmen inside his shop, which left two policemen and a civilian injured.
Zabihullah, an eye witness, said the gunmen escaped the scene after they killing the shopkeeper. He added the armed men placed explosive inside the shop.
Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
