NPC approves construction of Kamal Khan Dam
KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Procurement Committee (NPC) has approved construction work of the second portion of vital Kamal Khan Dam and stressed over rehabilitation and security of airports across the country.
The NPC meeting held Saturday night which also issued directives to involve private sector’s aviation companies to transfer pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani chaired the meeting, which was attended by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah, ministers of defence, education interior, energy and water and other high ranking officials, the statement said.
It added the officials approved some projects, while few were delayed due to lack of proper documentations.
The meeting approved construction of the second portion of Kmal Khan Dam in southern Nimroz province, but stressed that the company which would get contract should ensure completion of project in a specific time.
